बिग बॉस 19 के 'वीकेंड का वार' एपिसोड में इस बार एक नया मोड़ तब आया जब लखनऊ के सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता संजय शर्मा की शिकायत ने पूरे शो और प्रस्तुतकर्ताओं को कठघरे में ला खड़ा किया। संजय शर्मा ने होस्ट सलमान खान और ब्रॉडकास्टर जीओस्टार इंडिया प्राइवेट लिमिटेड (पूर्व में वायाकॉम/स्टार) के खिलाफ गंभीर पक्षपात और धार्मिक संवेदनशीलता की अनदेखी के आरोपों के साथ उच्चाधिकारियों, प्रसारण प्राधिकरण और महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री को पूरी कानूनी एवं तथ्यात्मक शिकायत भेजी थी। उन्होंने शो के संपादन और व्यवहार में पारदर्शिता और निष्पक्षता की मांग उठाई थी।
