Sir, This refers to Uttar Pradesh Government’s illegal allotment of government land and building of Maulana Jauhar Ali Shodh Sansthan at Rampur to UP  minorities' welfare minister Mohammad Azam Khan’s Maulana Jauhar Ali Trust.  TAHRIR ( Transparency, Accountability & Human Rights initiative for revolution ) is a Bareilly/Lucknow based Social Organization, working at grass-root level by taking up & solving issues related to strengthening transparency & accountability in public life and protection of Human Rights in India. TAHRIR considers this move move of UP Govt. as a 'blatant disregard to the rules and regulations' without following the mandatory transparent process. On the very face of it, it appears that Azam Khan has been obliged by  the state government authorities of UP  by granting 1500 square yard government land and building built at the cost of rupees 9.83 crores to his private trust for 30 years lease for a nominal annual rent of Rs 100, while completely ignoring the law formulated by the Supreme Court just to felicitate Azam Khan in lieu of his organizing a private B’day Party at Rampur for appeasing ruling Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh yadav. It has come to our knowledge that previous Principal Secretary  Devesh Chaturvedi had strongly opposed this move calling it a case of direct conflict of interest after which he was removed from the post and then the corrupt & spineless government machinery passed  this 'illegal' order afterwards. Through this memorandum, TAHRIR is seeking immediate quashing of the allotment order along with strong punitive action against those who passed this order.
