UP GUV ORDERS PROBE INTO WEALTH OF IPS OFFICER THAKUR

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik, reportedly directed Director General of Civil Defence to conduct a probe regarding allegations that IG (Civil Defence) Amitabh Thakur, who is also a social activist, had made huge wealth and that he also made changes in his information given regarding his assets to the Police Department.
Another social activist, Sanjay Sharma, claimed to have written to Governor that Thakur and his wife had ten properties in their names in UP and Bihar. Amongst the above, he owned a HIG house in Viramkhand in Gomati Nagar, a plot in Kharagpur, a plot of 5,000 square feet in Ujriyon. Besides he owned house in Mujaffarpur, Patna, Sitamarhi along with agriculture land in Bihar. Sanjay claimed the couple had mentioned in their official record that they earned about Rs2.88 lakh annualy through the above properties.
